So like many others out there I've decided to start my own blog. Why? I'm not particularly sure. While I have my own arrogance, I'm not arrogant enough to think my opinion matters more than the next person nor do I think many care or should care what I have to say. But, I know there are things I'd like to talk about, write about, discuss, argue, and just get out of my brain and I figure maybe some of you would like to join me in these topics.
I call this blog "The Mental Works" because whenever one orders "The Works" when it comes to anything there's no rhyme or reason to what you're going to get, but you know you're getting a lot. This is how this blog will work. There's no set topic, just what I decide I'd like to discuss at the time.
As for why I mention baseball's Designated Hitter...well because it's a topic widely debated where one side feels their right and the other wrong. I will be taking on topics like this both more "trivial" and more "serious."
